J.A.M. (6-8th Grades)

J.A.M. stands for Jesus and Me. Our youth group meets weekly on Wednesday nights from 6:15 pm to 8:00 pm during the school year. We also offer Sunday School classes every Sunday morning during the school year at 9:00 am in the 200 wing (more information below).

Students do not need to attend Midland Free to be a part of our youth group. We have over 20 adult and high school student leaders who are committed to building relationships with students in our youth group.

We offer tons of fun activities, including gym games, crafts, board games, video games, foosball, air hockey, pool, and ping pong. Each evening ends with a Bible-based lesson that is relevant and meaningful to middle school students.

Sunday School for 6-8th graders—9:00 am

Do You want to grow? Do you want to know God’s Word? Do you want to become a disciple maker of Jesus? Then we have an amazing resource for you! We offer fantastic classes on Sunday morning (at 9:00 am throughout the school year) for students in 6-8th grades. Middle school and high school classes are broken out by grade.

The goal of our Sunday School program is equip teens to know God’s Word and how to apply it to grow into spiritually mature disciples of Christ. We are studying The Gospel Project for Students.

The Gospel Project for Students will provide your
child(ren) with:

  • A Three-Year Journey through Scripture:
    Students chronologically examine all Scripture
     through a Christ-centered lens.
  • 99 Essential Christian Doctrines:
Highlights essential doctrines of the Christian faith every student should know.
  • Christ Connection: Each session shows students how all Scripture points to Christ.
  • Apologetics: Students will not only understand what they believe, but why.
  • Head, Heart, Hands: Helps students to see how the gospel transforms the way they think, feel, and live every day.
  • Interactive Questions: Engages students to think through the session material and how it challenges them today.
  • Daily Discipleship Material: Provides five days of discipleship content each week to help students cultivate a habit of personal Bible study.

Discipleship Groups

Hey students in 7-12th grades! Are you looking for authentic relationships with your peers? Discipleship Groups (DG’s), small groups, may be what you have been seeking. Groups of up to 10 male or female students of the same grade meet weekly during the school year. Two adults who want to invest in your life lead the group. We want you to stay in the same group as you grow together in Christ from 7th grade through graduation. Students can join a DG any time, but most DG’s begin in the fall.
