SUMMER Sunday worship @ 10:00 am
(Memorial Day, May 26 - Labor Day, September 1)
Pastor Gib has been serving as the Connections/Care Pastor since 2001. In this role, he develops ministries and provides leadership to shepherd the church family toward spiritual health, growth, and maturity. Gib previously served in a church in Austin, Texas, and as Family Life Pastor and Pastor of Christian Education. He graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1985 with a Th.M. majoring in CE and received a BS in Education from University of Texas, Austin.
The best part of Gib’s job is: “I love God and His people and being able to minister the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ into every aspect of life. I am drawn into intimate moments of people’s lives, help minister the life Jesus offers and connect them with others who can help and encourage them.”
Gib and his wife, Caroline, were introduced to each other at Nau’s Drugstore in West Austin while in high school. They have been married since 1977 and have four adult children and four grandchildren.
Ephesians is Gib’s favorite book of the Bible. On his day off Gib hangs out with Caroline, meets friends, reads, takes a nap, and works on projects around the house. Gib is not his real name. His given name is Norborne A. Giblin, Jr.
