x-treeme Sunday night

X-treeme (9-12th grades)

X-treeme stands for Christ died on a Tree for Me. This comes from 1 Peter 2:24. Jesus is what X-treeme is about! X-treeme meets throughout the school year on Sunday nights. The “FIRST” Sunday of the month is a high energy, fun event designed for you and your friends to come and see who Jesus is. “FIRST” Sunday events include Newcomb, Pumpkin Patch Palooza, Turkey Hunt (Road Rally), Christmas Mystery Dinner Dance &  Dessert, Laser & Archery Tag, Jump Night, Food Fight and much more. The other Sunday nights are for students to come and worship Jesus through singing, prayer and teaching. Following our time at church we go to a local restaurant to enjoy a meal together. Come once, come each week! We love to point teenagers to Jesus! Watch for details for 2017-2018 ministry year.

Student Captains'
Scripture Memory 2017-2018

All passages are from the ESV

September: John 1:38-39, 38

Jesus turned and saw them following and said to them, “What are you seeking?” And they said to him, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are you staying?” 39 He said to them, “Come and you will see.”

October: Mark 1:17-18, 17

And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” 18 And immediately they left their nets and followed him.

November: Mark 8:34, 34

And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

December: John 8:12, 12

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

January: Deuteronomy 13:4, 4

You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him.

February: Colossians 3:17, 17

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

March: 1 Peter 2:21, 21

For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.

April: John 15:8, 8

By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
