Children, infant - 5th grade

Sundays for kids in the 100 wing

Your kids are warmly welcomed into a safe, loving atmosphere. They participate in heart-felt worship and teaching experiences that are both engaging and encouraging. While you attend an adult service or class, your kids experience God’s Word from Genesis to Revelation through a three-year chronological study called The Gospel Project for Kids, where everything points to Jesus through God’s one big story of Redemption.

If you have kids of varying ages you’ll be happy to know that they will each study the

same lesson at their age-appropriate level. Family discussions in the car or at lunch after church will be full and fun as siblings bounce ideas off one another while sharing what they’ve learned.

Kids worship

2nd service elementary kids worship

Overview and Vision

Kids begin in their grade level classrooms and then all Elementary kids gather together for Chapel-a large-group, corporate worship time. Kids Worship also uses The Gospel Project for Kids curriculum. This hour will complement what your child learned in 1st Service Sunday School. It will review and help reinforce the lesson for the morning, while providing an opportunity for your child to respond to God in worship.

Kids Begin in Grade Level Classrooms:

After a greeting time and fellowship, we open our time with prayer. Leaders guide the students through a series of prayer prompts as follows:

  • “God, You are…”
  • “God, I’m sorry for…”
  • “Thank You, God, for…”
  • “God, please…”

We review the Bible Story, discuss how it points to Christ, and connect the truths from Scripture to every-day life applications.

Chapel Time

All Elementary Kids transition with their teachers for a large group gathering:

  • Praise: We enter Chapel by singing a high-energy song as we praise God!
  • Missions focus: We watch a short Kids on Mission video clip where we see how God is at work through missionaries all over the world. Kids then volunteer to lead the group in prayer for our Midland Free Missionaries and our offering recipients – World Vision sponsored children, Lucy and David, or Royal Family Kids Camp.
  • Respond to God: As we sing worship songs, we invite kids to respond to God as we make the songs our personal prayer. We take what we have learned during the Bible lesson and respond to God, praising Him for who He is and asking Him to empower us to live out these truths.
  • Singing to learn:  We also sing to help us remember our memory verses, the books of the Bible, and the 10 Commandments.
  • Declare the Lord’s Prayer and the Apostles’ Creed Together
  • Closing: We close every Chapel time by singing the Doxology. Kids return to their grade level classrooms for parent pick-up.
